CORE PROGRAMMES

MOVE ALONG

Watch your child gain new skills and grow in confidence with each new level.

FOUNDATIONS 0-18 MONTH

  • Imagine your baby swinging softly in a blanket or dancing with you around a maypole. Kindermusik Foundations provides a delightful environment unlike any other. It is an engaging experience of learning and bonding with your baby. Through a unique blend of multi-level activities that include creative movement (best for vestibular stimulation!), vocal play, object and instrument exploration, your baby’s growth and development are stimulated and all of his senses are engaged. Kindermusik gives you and your child the time and tools to bring the power of music into your life at home and into his life forever.
  • Your baby is never too young to learn through music. All babies are born musical and it is up to us to retain that musicality and tap on their natural inclinations towards music to encourage development. When music is present, brain cells are more active, and learning is therefore more effective.

LEVEL 2 (18 MONTHS – 3 YEARS)

  • Level 2 focuses on your toddler’s emotional development as her confidence, curiousity, self-control, and communication begins to take shape. Exploring nurtures her emerging sense of self and facilitates her discovery of textures and sounds. Language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation, rhyming and object identification. Creative movement to different musical “moods” develops her sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness while affirming her urge to move. Anticipation and rewards of listening are introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills blossom. Essentially Level 2 provides the safety of training wheels for the bicycle of pre-school.

LEVEL 3 (3 – 5 YEARS)

  • The Level 3 child has an incredible sense of imagination, boundless energy and enthusiasm. A wide range of learning opportunities boosts language skills, confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and self-control. He or she will also take their first steps in producing music components, independently, like rhythms, varying steady beats and ensemble skills.

LEVELS 4&5 (4.5 – 7 YEARS OLD)

  • Listen as your child astounds you with his newfound ability to create musical compositions. For your budding musician, Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free, developmentally appropriate transition where he can musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction. Using a small-group approach to music education, Kindermusik provides the opportunity to explore voice development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and authentic pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments.
  • Your child learns 3 instruments by the end of the Young Child journey – the glockenspiel, set up to mimic a keyboard instrument but played in a developmentally appropriate way; a dulcimer, a string instrument that exposes the young child to working with strings, frets, and right-left coordination; and a woodwind instrument, the recorder. Our graduates internalise all the notes on the treble clef, can express rhythmic notations, amongst many other essential and exciting knowledge on instrument families, genres, composers, styles, etc.
